YOUTH BASKETBALL LEAGUE
The YMCA Basketball program offers a non-competitive league for kindergarten to sixth graders. The league will stress development of skills, teamwork, sportsmanship, and positive competition in a FUN environment. There will be two sessions. The first session will begin in October and finish before Christmas. The second session will start in January and end in February.
YOUTH VOLLEYBALL LEAGUE
The YMCA will offer age-appropriate skill development and opportunities to play volleyball games for third grade – sixth grade. The league will stress development of skills, teamwork, sportsmanship and positive competition in a FUN environment. Volleyball will be played in the Spring beginning in March ending in April.
PEE WEE SPORTS
YMCA Pee Wee sport classes focus on the physical and social development of your youngest athletes. Participants will be introduced to the basic skills of various sports. Parent participation is required.
Soccer – September: Basketball – October: T-Ball – March
PICKLE BALL
A paddleball sport (similar to a racquet sport) that combines elements of tennis, badminton, and table tennis. Two or four players use paddles to hit a ball over a net.
PUTNAM COUNTY YMCA PICKLEBALL GUIDELINES
Pickle ball sign up must be done at the front desk:
- The YMCA can cancel any court time due to YMCA use of the gymnasium.
- Sign up for pickle ball can be done 7 days prior to court use. Name and phone number are required to reserve the court. (if you are signed up before 7 days it will be cancelled).
- The court can only be used in 1 ½ hour time frames.
- Pickle ball sign up on the weekends will be by appointment only.
- Players playing pickle ball are responsible for putting up and taking down the net. If you are unsure if the net needs to come down, please ask the front desk staff.
